We sub-contract specialist trades (gas, structural calculations, large-format roofing) only where it is genuinely needed, and we manage them so you keep one phone number for the whole job.

Plastering & Drywall

Skim-coat plastering, full re-skims, plasterboarding new walls, suspended ceilings, ceiling repair after a leak, archways, alcoves, false walls for media units and feature panelling. Finishes are sanded and dust-sheeted properly — no plaster splatters on your floors.

Bricklaying, Garden Walls & Repointing

New garden walls, retaining walls, brick piers, repointing of older brickwork in lime mortar where appropriate, repair of failed cement-pointed joints, replacement of single broken bricks, brick slip repair and full re-build of weathered chimney stacks. We use a brick supplier who can match older North London reds reasonably well.

Conversions & Extensions

Garage conversions to habitable rooms (insulation, windows, electrics, plastering, flooring), porch builds, single-storey rear extensions with a roof under three by three metres (where permitted development applies), and small loft modifications. We are not the firm to call for a two-storey side extension — for those we will happily recommend a full builder.

2. Site visit and quote. For most building services work we like to visit the property to give an accurate fixed price. The visit is free, takes 15-30 minutes and there is no obligation. For very small jobs we can quote from photographs alone.

3. Booking. Once you agree the quote we send a confirmation email and book a date. We do not take deposits for jobs under £500 — you pay on completion when you are happy with the work.

4. The work. We arrive on the agreed day in the agreed time slot. We dust-sheet floors, protect skirting and furniture, and work tidily. We keep you informed if anything changes.

5. Completion and payment. When the job is finished we walk you through it, hand over any guarantees or certificates and take payment. Card, bank transfer or cash all welcome.
